EVERY TWO MINUTES…
Every two minutes, a child somewhere in the world dies from malaria. April 25 is World Malaria Day, in recognition of efforts to wipe out this deadly disease. Our priority is to help communities prevent malaria by eliminating the mosquitoes that cause it and providing protection against being bitten. When kids do get sick, we help make sure they’re quickly diagnosed and treated. Meet a young malaria survivor and watch videos about the progress you make possible.
WILL THE HORRORS NEVER STOP?
Earlier this month, Syria’s children were once again subjected to the unthinkable — a suspected chemical weapons attack in Douma. Innocent children were choking, foaming at the mouth and having convulsions. With the war now in its seventh year, far too many girls and boys have known nothing else, and more than 5 million young lives are in danger. We’re working around the clock to help those forced to literally run for their lives.
KEEPING OUR KIDS SAFE
Most U.S. tornadoes occur between March and June. We’re ready, and we’re helping make sure kids are ready, too. Our goal is to reduce the impact of natural disasters through effective preparedness, response and recovery. Read about our ongoing recovery work for girls and boys affected by Hurricanes Maria, Harvey and Irma — work we can do only thanks to your generosity — and explore our disaster response and recovery programs.
