AAPLOG Member Update
We are the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Life…it’s why we’re here.
We have all been there. Your patient is moribund the night before, but on morning rounds, has normalizing vitals, recovering labs and is waking up. We may never know why, but regardless of the reason, the prognosis has changed, and it’s time for us to re-assess and reevaluate her clinical course.
This amazing change in clinical course was evident in the U.S. over the past month. The advent of an administration, who, for the first time in history that I can recall, actually actively has taken steps to protect unborn human lives has galvanized the pro-life movement. This change was evident in the sea of marchers present at the March for Life, crescendoing in the first ever appearance by Vice President Pence at the Rally before the March. AAPLOG, along with many other pro-life organizations, followed Mr. Pence on the platform, as the rally was closed with a resounding call from Black leadership to defund Planned Parenthood. “Enough is enough”!
The problem today
Worldwide, abortion has killed a billion human beings, and left as many wounded in body and mind. The best overall summary of abortion statistics around the world can be found in this terrific reference document Abortion Worldwide Report 2017
The destruction of these human beings has been funded by international multi-billionaire donors and neo-colonial western nations via “aid” monies tied to abortion legalization, in order to decrease the population of unwanted people groups. One example of the horrific practices of International Planned Parenthood Foundation is illustrated in their ties to the forced abortion practices still going on in China as noted by Women’s Rights Without Frontiers .
“Today IPPF is still CFPA’s main partner, and IPPF has gone on record praising China’s notoriously coercive policy.”… “ In 2009, IPPF director-general Gill Greer, called China’s One-Child Policy “very conducive to China’s development in various aspects,” including the realm of “health care services.”…” In a 2011 letter to the editor, former Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Norman Fleishman called China’s One Child Policy a “start” to curbing global population. At about this time IPPF’s website affirmed that it “supports the present family planning policy of the government” and that their Chinese arm “plays a very important role in China’s family planning programme.” …IPPF’s site still points to CFPA as its main operations hub in China and has recently publicized its good relationship with the Chinese government. In 2013, following a change in China’s leadership, IPPF described its meeting with new Chinese premier Li Kequiang and mutual plans to “strengthen the partnership” between China and IPPF.’
But despite the massive amount of eugenic funding which has gone into organizations designed to eliminate unwanted people groups, most people in the world do not want to kill their babies. And new vibrant leadership is arising around the world. http://cultureoflifeafrica.com/2017/01/killing-africa-exposing-the-core-of-msi-mission-in-africa.html See also: trailer of newly released video: https://youtu.be/0j1qYLy0W2Y full version https://youtu.be/r54xWBvgbIQ (NOTE: Obianuju Ekeocha will be joining us at the 2017 MBEC- don’t miss it!)
Just two weeks ago, President Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy
“According to Rep. Chris Smith, Co-Chairman of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, « By redirecting taxpayer dollars away from the international abortion industry, President Trump has re-instituted life-affirming protections for unborn children and their mothers. There is political consensus that taxpayer dollars should not fund abortion and the abortion industry. » … « Without this protection in place, foreign NGOs receiving U.S. government funds promote and perform abortion throughout the world with the imprimatur of the United States ». Smith explains that these NGOs « also set up additional projects overseas seeking to topple pro-life laws, imposing a new colonialism that fails to respect life-affirming cultures. »”
There is also a growing cry to remove US federal funding from Planned Parenthood in the wake of the Investigation of Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted fetal body parts.
“The report details many of the disturbing practices the Panel uncovered in the abortion industry with the selling of fetal tissue along with information regarding our public hearings, subpoenas, criminal and regulatory referrals. Also included is the listing of recommendations for improving access to appropriate scientific models, including human fetal tissue when warranted, in order to promote the advancement of science and the development of novel therapies.” http://blackburn.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=398146
Pro-Abortion activists response:
The awakening of the voice of the common people around the world rejecting abortion has the pro-abortion organizations in a panic. It is immensely illuminating to read the international pro-abortion training manual designed to respond to this “Anti-choice” awakening of the people:
While Zacharenco and company decry the growing understanding of how abortion hurts women, children and families, the truth is continuing to grow. And AAPLOG is playing a major part in educating and equipping pro-life medical professionals around the world to give an evidence-based defense of both the pregnant mother and her unborn child. We have an unprecedented opportunity ahead of us in the next 2-4 years. We want to rise to the occasion with your help. We are winning!

ARE YOU WILLING TO BE A PRECEPTOR?
I will be a 4th year medical student at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2017-2018 and am very interested in OB/GYN. I would love to follow a pro-life OB/GYN for one or more of my away rotations. My school allows its students to do away rotations (out-of-state rotations) at medical centers and hospitals that aren’t necessarily part of the Visiting Student Application Service program IF the student knows and has talked to a physician willing to take him/her. I was wondering if there was a way for me to find out if any physicians who are part of this AAPLOG organization would be willing to take a student for a month this coming Fall of 2017. I would be honored and ecstatic to have an opportunity like this, where I can see how an OB/GYN who shares my values incorporates this into his or her practice. Please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org (701) 429-1760
LOOKING FOR A BETTER POSITION?
We are praying for a Christian OB/GYN to join our team in a wonderful Christian non-profit medical center in Grand Rapids called Christian Healthcare Centers (chcenters.org). We will be operating under the direct primary care model, meaning that we won’t take insurance but that members will pay a monthly fee. We have internal medicine and pediatrics covered but are looking for a OB/GYN to join us. I was wondering if you might be able to help us find someone who would be a good fit. The wages and benefits will be competitive. There’s a big emphasis on biblical values, including valuing life, so we are definitely looking for someone who is pro-life and would not push families for abortion..
